According to statistics, teen depression and anxiety increased post-pandemic. Today’s teenagers face the following pressures: a need to perform academically while excelling in extracurricular events; they fear the threat of possible campus shootings while contending with day-to-day bullying and other forms of peer pressure, and all this is happening as many schools/districts are experiencing teacher shortages. Does Anyone See My Pain? shares coping skills with teens, hopefully encouraging readers to confront their anxiety and/or depression, knowing that they can and will win despite personal struggles, disappointments, and frustrations. The author is transparent about his bouts with depression, which began when he was an adolescent. Early in life, he learned that people dealing with depression and anxiety can use it to propel them to success.

Well written with compassion and love for others. This book is good for teens and parents. Eric Legette writes with sincerity and a sense of humility which makes the reader comfortable. Adding personal good and bad life experiences to the book is a plus.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Read for Parents/Teens

This book is great. I taught both my children how to journal when they were younger because I did as well when I was young. I think this book needs to be in more homes and schools as well, perhaps in the hands of counselors and school social workers. Schools are not meeting the needs of today’s students. As is pointed out in the book, students today deal with things we never did at their age. They are traumatized and they need to be handled differently than how we were growing up.
